The ownership consists of fee simple and common undivided acreage and is being offered in its entirety through a sealed bid, lump sum, single phase event. The acreage breakdown includes:

  • 271,928± Acres – Fee Simple Interest
  • 23,436± Acres – 78% Majority Common and Undivided Interest (18,269± acres equivalent)
     

PROPERTY OVERVIEW

  • Top of Maine - 105,006± acres located 20 miles west of Fort Kent, Maine, adjacent to the Quebec and New Brunswick border. Approximately 93,710± acres are subject to a working forest, no-development conservation easement.
  • Baxter – 190,358± acres located 15 miles west of Ashland, Maine, and northerly of Baxter State Park. The Baxter unit includes the 23,436± acre 78% majority common and undivided interest.

OFFERING PROCESS

Prospective bidders are invited to participate in the process upon complete execution of a Confidentiality Agreement. The sale timeline is generally described as:

  • May 25, 2016                            Data Room opens.
  • May 25 - July 20, 2016            Buyers may inspect the property on their own or request property tours.
  • July 20, 2016                           Bids and marked up copy of Seller’s Purchase and Sale Agreement are due.
  • September 14, 2016               Sale Closing; may be sooner upon mutual agreement between the Owner and the successful bidder.
