American Forest Management invites interested parties to submit offers to purchase an investment grade, Appalachian hardwood property totaling 53,780± acres known as the Shepard Boone Coal Company & WPP LLC Timberlands offering. The property, located in four counties in West Virginia, is being offered in its entirety through a sealed bid, lump sum, single phase event. 

The acreage is dominated by a diverse species mix of Appalachian hardwood stands growing on productive sites positioned for strong biological growth, product shifts and price appreciation. The predominant tree species include Poplar, Chestnut Oak, Red Oak, Hickory, Black Oak and White Oak. In total, these species comprise over 71% of the total sawtimber volume on the property. The timberlands were inventoried in January and February 2016.

OFFERING PROCESS

Prospective bidders are invited to participate in the process upon complete execution of a CA.  The Sale timeline is generally described as:

April 25, 2016                                  Data room available for access to prospective bidders.

April 25 - June 24, 2016                 Prospective bidders can tour the property.

June 30, 2016                                 Indicative bids for the entire property, based on the information provided in the data room.

August 31, 2016                            Projected closing.
 

Sealed bids should be submitted no later than 3:00 p.m. EST, June 30, 2016.
