Andy Braswell

Andy Braswell, District Manager in Texarkana, Texas, started his career in 2002. He has a Bachelor of Science in Forest Management from Texas A & M University and is a member of the Texas Forestry Association and the Arkansas Forestry Association. Andy is also a Certified Tree Farm Inspector, a Registered Forester in Arkansas, and an Accredited Forester in Texas.

Why did you pursue a career in forestry? While in high school, I knew that I wanted a career in the outdoors. In researching outdoor careers, Forestry came up, and the more I looked into the field, the more I knew that I wanted to follow that path.

What do you like about your role with AFM? Working with our clients on their property to meet their management goals is very rewarding. The best part is going back to a job that was thinned or planted several before and seeing the results from the intense management that we practice. Nothing is more rewarding than growing the next generation of loblolly pine.
