Why did you pursue a career in forestry?
I pursued a career in forestry from an early love of the outdoors. I have always enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being active in the outdoors. Growing up in the heart of the Uwharrie National Forest, I gained a true appreciation for forestland. What better career could I choose than one that lets me enjoy all the outdoors has to offer on a daily basis?
What do you like the most about your role with AFM?
I most enjoy working with landowners and helping them achieve their goals related to their forestlands. Meeting new people and establishing lasting relationships with them is one of the highlights of my job. I have met a myriad of landowners in my career, and those experiences have made me a better forester and real estate agent. Realizing that each client is different and learning to use my skills to meet their differing needs is truly exciting.
