Steve Archer and Marisa Bass Named Region Managers

Effective January 1, 2024, American Forest Management promoted Steve Archer and Marisa Bass to Region Managers.

Steve Archer will be responsible for overseeing AFM’s land management operations in the Tennessee Valley Region. AFM manages about 471,000 acres of timberland in the region for large institutional clients and smaller non-industrial private forestland (NIPF) clients.

He has over 32 years of experience in land management. He holds a B.S., Forest Resources, from the University of Georgia. He is a registered forester in Alabama, Georgia and Mississippi and a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in Alabama. He has been with AFM for 10 years serving as the Russellville, AL, District Manager and will continue to be based in that office.

Marisa Bass will be responsible for overseeing AFM’s land management operations totaling over 255,000 acres in Washington and Oregon.

She joined AFM in 2016, most recently serving as the Chehalis District Manager. She holds both a Master of Forest Resources and a B.S., Forest Management, from the University of Washington. She is a member of the Society of American Foresters and will continue to be based in AFM’s Chehalis, WA, office.
